Fans of the TV anime series Yu Yu Hakusho may want to think twice before picking up the game. Atari's Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament is a fighting game that has all of the necessary trimmings. There's a cast of over 25 characters to select from, destructible environments, slick anime cut scenes, and several modes to mess around with, but the fighting engine is so slow it takes away from the fun, and tagging out during fights results in load time that pulls you out of the action. If you love the series you may appreciate what Atari's put together, but devotion only lasts for so long. This game gets boring quick, and the frustration induced from agonizing over the awkward controls makes Yu Yu destined for the dark bargain bin pit of despair.
