Yoshi's Island DS has the unenviable task of following in the footsteps of the hugely-popular SNES classic Yoshi's Island, but it steps up to and meets the challenge as a worthy addition to the series. Twists, such as the ability to play with different attributes thanks to Baby Mario, Baby Princess Peach, Baby DK, and more add variety to an extremely fun adventure. Through 40-plus levels, vibrant graphics and lively environments make things feel fresh and unique. The Wii launch may not have a Mario game this season, but Yoshi's Island DS more than adequately fills the mascot role.
