Activision has today released X2: Wolverine's Revenge on all next-gen consoles, GBA, and the PC. In the game you play as the famous Weapon X project survivor, Wolverine. You get to control Logan, the man with the adamantium skeleton and claws, as he tries to discover a cure for the deadly virus that threatens to kill him within 48 hours. Now Logan must try to uncover the secrets of Department H, the organization that turned him into the X-Men superhero known as Wolverine.

In addition to mutant powers such as accelerated healing and adamantium claws, the game also features both action and stealth types of gameplay. You'll also encounter allies such as Beast and Colossus as you take on archenemies such as Sabretooth, Wendigo, Juggernaut and Magneto. Throughout, Professor Charles Xavier provides hints and clues through a telepathic link.

It's also worth noting that the storyline for the game was actually written by Larry Hama, a writer of the Wolverine comic books, and that the game features the voices of Mark Hamill and Patrick Stewart.
