Today, the Film Wisconsin organization announced that the state is offering a 25 percent tax credit for TV, film and the video gaming industry. This incentive is for "qualified production related expenditures" with an additional 15 percent for infrastructure development. Film Wisconsin also noted that Wisconsin schools have recently increased their offerings relating to video gaming careers, including a planned motion capture studio at the Milwaukee Area Technical College.

"I truly believe that the tax incentive will greatly assist the growth of game development in the State of Wisconsin, " said Mike Crowns, director of product development at Wisconsin based Raven Software, developer of Jedi Knight II, X-Men Legends and Quake IV.
