The WWE's most famous superstars have just retaken the GameCube's squared circle and in dramatic fashion. THQ and Yukes' Day of Reckoning 2 is easily the greatest wrestling title to appear on the system. Featuring improved and much more realistic looking character models, powerful ring entrances, an enhanced presentation, an improved grabbling system, and a bevy of match types, it's not only extremely enjoyable to play but equally pleasing to watch. It's not without some issues, such as a bland story mode, the inability to import your created characters from the previous DoR, and some targeting problems, but there are so many cool things about this game that its faults don't seriously count against the play experience. Day of Reckoning 2 is still a bit behind the PS2's SmackDown series in terms of features and available wrestlers, but don't let that stop you, especially if you're a WWE fan, from experiencing one of the few videogames that almost perfectly captures the pageantry and excitement of professional wrestling.
