The push to revive the game that started it all, Wolfenstein, is headed to retail shelves in just a few short weeks (August 18).

For purists, the development team at Raven Software promises to stay true to the quirkiness that endeared it to many. The game's premise, the control of a soldier against the Nazi war machine in 1943 also takes on a heavy dose of the supernatural, an odd strategy that the real Third Reich used to try and win World War II. One of the major changes to the series involves a veil, an ability that lets the player enter a world where they'll see things that are normally invisible and gain abilities that they can use for a short amount of time.

Rather than describe all the features, new and improved, Wolfenstein's publisher, Activision, unleashed a new trailer that lets the development team pitch their creation to you. We'll reserve final judgment for when the game arrives next month.
