Wii Golf
That leads us to the best game in the pack -- Wii Golf. Get in touch with that inner Tiger Woods to send balls sailing from the tees and, hopefully, somewhere in the line with the green. The control scheme is easy to master -- first, execute a few practice swings by holding the Wiimote like a golf club and swinging. A meter next the player's avatar gives an idea of the speed of the swing and how far the ball will fly. Then, when ready to shoot, hold down the 'A' button to move into position and swing again. The directional button the remote helps golfers angle their shots and get a handicap worth bragging about in the pro shop.
Wii Tennis
Though golf is the best game in the pack, Wii Tennis is the easiest game to master and perfect for anyone new to gaming -- or those who haven't touched a game since Pac-Man. Like the other games, Tennis can be played solo or with up to four people. The only action required -- to grip the remote and swing it like a real tennis racquet -- can lead to some intense workouts, even if you look like a tool swinging an imagainary racket around.
Despite being little more than a tech demo for the Wii controller, we dub Wii Sports the ultimate party game. Hardcore gamers may scoff at the simple gameplay and graphics, but judging from the reaction of non-gamers who can't keep their hands off of it, the Wii may already have a system-selling killer app.
