The GameDaily One-Minute Review

It's true. Wii Fit won't necessarily make you fit, but it's a clever way to pull people off the couch and get them moving. Nintendo's new exergame centers on a finely tuned Wii Balance Board that measures the weight distribution between your right and left feet. Stand on it and enjoy the 40 exercises that consist of yoga, strength training, cardio and the most fun, balance games like hula-hooping and bopping soccer balls with your head. We'd like to see more of these quirky games, and the more traditional exercises, while challenging, will likely get old in short order. Lack of a serious multiplayer or party mode is the biggest omission, but since the game installs a Wii Fit channel on your system, we can only hope that means regular updates are in the works.

mousewhiskersmd: good idea but not perfect

I've has it about a week. First problem obviously is that it's impossible to get. It's not like this item was just released. Game unit was easy to get used to. It does have a nice variety of things. But it feels like some of the games were unfinished. For example there's a dance game under the Aerobic section. Trouble is the footsteps don't seem to follow the beat exactly, and the music itself is pretty cheesy. It does get people moving. I give them credit for finding creative uses for the Fit board. Even my more lazy family members are playing with it and getting their butts off the couch. it does seem like the exercises are mostly foot oriented, which is odd since the Wii has such great hand controllers. I do wish someone would write other games/activities for the Fit board. It's a neat controller. Overall I am happy I bought it and I look forward to using it more. I give it a 9 out of 10

achrockett: Whooohooo

This game is fantastic. It 'will' get you fit if you stick with it. When I started, my BMI was above average. Three weeks later, it was normal. I met, and continue to meet my weight loss goals, and enjoy doing it. Combined with the Wii sport activities, you can surely get a good, versitile workout in. This is everything exercise should be...fun.

dannynmaria: worth it

I couldn't wait till this game came out and I am not disappointed. It is fun, you can switch up to balance games or aerobics, stepping, etc., so you don't get bored. One word of caution, it you have a rug in the room where you set up your Wii Fit, make sure you put the extensions on the feet of the board. I didn't & the weight it calculated was off by nearly 10 lbs. Unfortunately so was my BMI....now instead of overweight I am obese! It is still motivating, got it Friday, worked out 30 mins, and yesterday, became so involved I played for 45 mins. Anything that can keep your interest, motivate you & get you off the couch for 30 mins a day can't be bad for you.

lyyn65: I'm 60! It's been Great!

I bought this because I have gained soooo much weight that I no only AM 60, I FEEL like 60. It has been 2 days now and believe me, I am sore, but I find I have already changed my mood and outlook. Now I know that I can be 60 and FIT, not 60 and OLD. I love it, love it, love it. Beats a Hot Fudge Sundae!

matthewsmom187: It's Great!!

I have only had this for a few day's but I think it is fantastic. I disagree with the one minute review that this game may not make you fit. I think if you do the exercises regularly it will do just that. Just like with any exercise routine you have to stick with it. I am very overweight and being such have a hard time going to gym's etc. This is something I can do at home and won't get boring like a treadmill etc. The more you use it the more games and exercises you unlock. Plus the fact that my 10 year old son is becoming a little overweight and I really think this will help. It keeps us both motivated because we both want to beat each others scores. Not only does it take your weight it also takes your BMI and keeps track of your weight loss and lets you set goals. My favorite games are the step game and the boxing game both are done in a rhymic pace.
