I must admit, I'm not a big PC gamer. In fact, for most of my life, I've disliked the notion of playing a game on a PC because I'd rather use the computer for more practical things like do***ents, art projects, music, etc. Now that I'm in college and have my own computer so people won't complain about how slow my files are making it (which they weren't), I have bought Warcraft III with the expansion and am proud to say it was worth playing. First, I didn't waste time with the story mode for Frozen Throne. I played some of it in Reign of Chaos and quickly learned that if I really want to kill things quickly, I have to do a custom game because the story of story mode will constantly slow me down. Second, I also learned that the CPU's in this game as compared to Warcraft II actually are tough. I have some difficulty in containing 50% CPU on easy. I'm not willing to even try other difficulties until I can master killing all 50% easy CPU. I also love some of the classes in this game. Bloodmages are fun to summon phoenixes to do your bidding. They come back to life after they die from being out for so many minutes. Granted, you have to wait to level your guy up to level 6 but it is worth it if you like to burn things... which I do in a fictional setting. In a real setting I'd probably be arrested and that wouldn't be fun. I give this game a 9/10 for being great in almost every way. I just wish the easy computers were actually easy rather than requiring some thought to actually take down.
