Viva Pinata: Party Animals essentially boils down to a collection of very simple mini games paired with a series of equally simple foot races. Aside from a few minor graphical hitches, the game manages to capture the same charming look as the original. But make no mistake: the party games lack a serious challenge, and parents are less likely to be as drawn in as they were before. All together, Party Animals completely lacks what made the first Viva Pinata so endearing.
