Activision, announced that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines had shipped to stores nationwide. Based upon the infamous pen and paper and live action role-playing chronicle (thought it uses the older storyline, Vampire: The Masquerade, not Year of Fire or Vampire: The Requiem), players assume roles as a vampire in modern day Los Angeles. Using 12 different diciplines, such as celerity (supernatural speed), obfuscation (invisibility) and domination (mind control), players will advance through the Camarilla in order to become the most powerful Kindred in the city.

"Powered by Source - Valve's next-generation engine technology, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines delivers the most authentic White Wolf World of Darkness experience yet," states Kathy Vrabeck, President, Activision Publishing. "Bloodlines has everything fans expect from a true RPG - deep storyline, character development and interaction, exploration, multiple solutions to quests - combined with all the benefits of a next-gen first-person action game, including beautiful graphics, fast-action and first-person immersion."

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is available for the PC for the suggested retail price of $49.99. The game has been given a very strong "M" for Mature rating by the ESRB for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language.
