Not every company can produce a gem every time. Urban Reign feels like an off-day title for the folks that produced the Soul Calibur and Tekken games, a brawler that has its little appeals here and there but fails to really come together as a whole. It tries to nail down the nature of the old-school brawler but limits itself as a result, and against sharper AI opponents, that's a no-no. Still, this Reign isn't a total failure, and is worth a rental.
