GameTap announced today that it has signed licensing agreements with Celeris and Phoenix Licensing. This will introduce The Last Express and Virtual Pool to the GameTap network. Both titles are celebrated for their contributions to the adventure and pool simulation genres, respectfully.
"These agreements reflect GameTap's continued commitment to providing the best and most inclusive library of gaming content available," said Stuart Snyder, GameTap's Senior Vice President and General Manager. "While we currently offer more than 600 gaming favorites on our network, the quality of our offerings is as important as the quantity."
"We're delighted to partner with GameTap to bring The Last Express to a new generation of broadband gamers," said game designer Jordan Mechner. "Its immersive real-time storytelling offers players a unique interactive experience that has withstood the test of time."
"As we continue to evolve our Virtual Pool series, we wanted to find a way to provide gamers with continued access to our award-winning content," said Steve Chaplin of Celeris. "Based on GameTap's extensive catalog and industry presence, we feel its network is the best vehicle in the industry for showcasing video game content once the launch retail window has closed."
