GameStop Corp. today announced a new grant program with the help of Do Something. The game retailer and "national youth action champion" hope that this new program will "engage young members of the community in programs of service and leadership." The $500 grants are to help people under the age of 25 create service projects designed to help members of the community.
"Our partnership is a unique effort to advance volunteerism and actively support the often unique perspectives that young people can bring to addressing issues in their own community," indicated R. Richard Fontaine, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GameStop Corp.
"Young people possess the energy, creativity and motivation to rock the world. The grants from GameStop will help them do it!" says Nancy Lublin, CEO of Do Something.
