Today, Disney Interactive Studios announced that it has signed a partnership with Music for Relief. The non-profit organization founded by band Linkin Park works to raises awareness for natural disaster victims and global warming. The collaboration will see Disney's Ultimate Band feature in-game Music for Relief content and the charitable organization will feature Ultimate Band in its booth at Projekt Revolution 2008 tour stops in the United States.
"Teenagers are more socially conscious and aware of world issues now than ever before and Music for Relief helps causes that are very real to our communities and players," said Graham Hopper, executive vice president and general manager of Disney Interactive Studios. "Whether they personally experienced a tragedy like Hurricane Katrina, or know someone abroad that has suffered from the cyclone that devastated Burma/Myanmar this past spring, teens are eager to band together and support a cause. By raising Music for Relief's profile among our gaming community, we hope to ultimately increase awareness for those that have suffered devastation at the hands of natural disasters all over the world."
Ultimate Band will release on Wii and DS in Fall 2008.
