Today, the D&AD announced that Resident Evil 4 received a "Yellow Pencil" at The D&AD Global Awards 2006 earlier this week. The awards honor the best in advertising, design and creative communication. Video games were recognized in their own category for the first time this year, with Resident Evil 4 being awarded for "Outstanding Achievement." Nintendogs was also awarded a "Yellow Pencil."
D&D President Dick Powell commented, "The D&AD awards celebrate innovation and creativity across many different media and we are really pleased to now include videogames. With Resident Evil 4 Capcom has certainly set a high standard for future nominees."
