Blockbuster has been offering retail DVDs for quite a while now, so it would make sense that they would try to tap into the gaming retail market, especially with GTA IV coming soon.

Blockbuster today announced that retail game hardware and software is now available at all Blockbuster stores in the U.S. This means that accessories, games and hardware for the PS3, DS, Wii and Xbox 360 will all be available for purchase. Blockbuster will also offer an exclusive PS3 bundle which includes a 40GB PS3 console, the Spider-Man 3 movie on Blu-ray, the Transformers game for PS3 and a Blockbuster 12-week PS3/Blu-ray rental card for $499.99.
"We're committed to offering a full assortment of everything gamers want in our stores -- hardware, accessories and retail and rental games across all platforms -- including Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS," said Rod Murray, vice-president, games merchandising, Blockbuster.
