The GameDaily One-Minute Review

Top Spin 3's learning curve is so steep that casual tennis players will cry uncle. 2K Sports' commitment to timing bodily movement with shots ruins the experience, as the slightest shift causes our selected tennis star to miss the ball, But there's more to the game's woes than a horrible control scheme and bizarre physics. Pressing the swing buttons don't always yield responses, and balls smack into players' faces and sail out of bounds for no logical reason. Combine this with stiff animations, and it wasn't long before we wanted to shatter the disc with a tennis racket. We dig the Career and Tournament modes, and the ability to create your player from the ground up and play online tournaments is cool, but Top Spin 3's inaccessible and sloppy controls killed our high expectations.
