Everybody's favorite surly NSA operative is back. That's right Ubisoft is putting Sam Fisher back in the field with Splinter Cell: Double Agent. This game sets you down on the front lines of the war on terror. If you blow it, you put the lives of a lot of people in danger. But hey: no pressure right?

If you've never played a Splinter Cell game before, it's no easy undertaking. The government will ask you to do the impossible, all without being seen. You're a ghost, and you'll have to lurk in the shadows. Your enemies will be astute, and you'll have to circumvent high tech security systems in some cases, to get your job done.

For those who are veterans of the series Double Agent will provide a different experience. Sam has gone completely underground. The government has disavowed all knowledge of your existence, and in most situations you'll be all alone. You won't be able to just whip out your gun and start shooting if things go south trying to snoop on the J-B-A, and in your field missions civilian death tolls won't be taken lightly. Your trust meter is of utmost importance. Though it may seem ok in the beginning to lose trust for something small, it can add up and make your life difficult in the end. Remember that you're supposed to pretend to be a murderer, not actually become one.

As is the case in all Splinter Cell titles, there are multiple ways to do each level, and this walkthrough doesn't necessarily cover every single one of them. Instead, it offers a guide to some of the easier ways to play the game, and will focus mostly on keeping your trust levels high on both sides, completing all objectives, and maintaining a decent stealth score. Your stealth score is based on how much of a footprint you've left in a level. This generally means avoiding confrontation, leaving little trace of your presence behind, and not engaging the enemy unnecessarily. If you'd rather not worry about stealth you don't have to, but there will be consequences to taking the more aggressive approach.
