Ubisoft started talking about its tactical shooter return to Las Vegas by announcing that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is currently in production for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PCs.

Rainbow Six series fans can expect 13 multiplayer maps featuring more instant face-offs, two adversarial modes and an improved matchmaking system. Gamers who enjoyed past co-operative experience gain the option of turning their single player mode into co-op mode at any point, with no change in combat or play since, the developer says, "The single player maps and storyline were created with co-op in mind." Yet, that doesn't mean that the game got easier. Touting a new level of challenging AI, enemies now make use of thermal and night vision along with a host of tactics to ensure gamers stay alert.

Adding more glitz to the strip, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 plans more hot spots, gritty back streets and new options to re-create your identity for a real hair-raising night on the town. A full version of Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is due in March 2008.
