Ubisoft's on a roll. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has sold around two million and Assassin's Creed has passed six million, leading to a nice sales boost for the company over the last year.
There's Nintendo... and then there's everyone else. Industry sales hit $1.7B as Smash Bros. sold 2.7 million copies and the Wii sold a whopping 721K units.
Thanks to strong performances from Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft has raised its full-year guidance. Sales are expected to top $1.5 billion.
Ubisoft and Tom Clancy seem to be a perfect match. By locking up the license, Ubisoft is now also seeing some short term stock gains.

Maybe Tom Clancy should get a Ubisoft tattoo? The French publisher now has all intellectual property rights to the Clancy brand for games and other products. Update: Ubisoft to make an MMO with Clancy brand.
Gamers will be able to shoot up the Las Vegas Convention Center in an "MLG Map." Plus, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will be part of the 2008 MLG Pro Circuit.
