Standing for "high-altitude warfare" HAWX is going to give a new face to aerial combat. There's nothing official, but I'd guess it probably ties into Endwar in some way as well.

Ubisoft announced today that it is developing Tom Clancy's HAWX. This new IP comes soon after Ubisoft announced that it is acquiring the Tom Clancy license part and parcel. The game will be the first air combat game set in the Tom Clancy universe with a near future story focusing on the growing international power of PMCs.

"Tom Clancy's HAWX marks the next evolution of warfare set in the Tom Clancy video game universe," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "We are thrilled to take to the skies and provide a new environment along with an extension of a familiar storyline from Ubisoft's successful Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2."

Tom Clancy's HAWX will release on PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in Fall 2008.
