Characters automatically go into cover mode when pressed against walls. They can also vault over objects, similar to Gears of War. Red Storm also improved the grenade throwing animation, and it appears the soldiers roll faster.

Too bad the game ends so quickly. Gamers will tear through the single player missions in five to seven hours. That issue notwithstanding, it's a very enjoyable ride, and it provides training for GRAW 2's robust multiplayer component. Sixteen players (in both online and through system link) frag each other across large, detailed maps. One in particular has players exploring a downed plane, walking through its twisted, burning wreckage and blasting opponents.

Like with single player, multiplayer feels familiar, but gamers will delight in the host of options at their disposal. Not only can they customize their characters but also the games, selecting from death match or objective based missions and tinkering with numerous options such as re-spawn points. Furthermore, the six-mission co-op campaign greatly extends the value, offering people side missions to the intriguing story.

In designing GRAW 2, Ubisoft and Red Storm took the best features from the original and enhanced them slightly, fine-tuning an enjoyable experience. While that may disappoint gamers looking for a big budget and feature packed sequel, no one should miss out on playing one of the best tactical shooters on the Xbox 360. Attractive and brutal, GRAW 2 begs to be experienced.
