When Tiger Woods PGA Tour was released for the Sony PSP earlier this year, it had its ups and downs. On the up side, it was a formidable game of handheld golf that was good for on-the-go driving. On the down side, however, it was plagued with some of the worst loading time in a portable release, making it a taxing affair for some gamers. Fortunately, these problems are addressed with the release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06, which is better in a number of ways.

Like the previous game, it's all about the golf, and the gameplay remains mostly about the same. You can drive with a simple motion of the analog stick, and control your spin and power with ease. There's also a new putting system that comes into play rather well, using a grid instead of a ball path to challenge you a little bit further.

The game is also loaded with plenty of new modes, including a Rivals mode where you can challenge many of the greats and a career mode that includes a number of wealthy new opportunities. The graphics still look as good as they always did, and the audio is acceptable. Best of all, however, the loading time is significantly improved, almost to the point that there really isn't any.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 is a must for duffers on the go who can't wait to get in a quick game of 18. It's a hole in one in my book.
