Electronic Arts has added the Black Eyed Peas to the upcoming The Urbz: Sims in the City game. Billed as the hipper title than its plain-Jane cousin The Sims, the hip-hop group will definitely add some spice to the upcoming simulation game.

The Black Eyed Peas will be working closely with EA to develop the game's soundtrack, which will contain nine tracks from Monkey Business, their upcoming album. These songs will be given the "simlish" language treatment by the Will I Am, the Black Eyed Peas lead singer. Simlish is nonsense language used in all games.

"The opportunity for us to get involved in something like this is definitely hot. A lot of our fans play video games. We play video games...it seems natural for Black Eyed Peas' music to be used in a video game--especially this one," said Will.I.Am. "This is an unprecedented collaboration," said Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of music and audio at Electronic Arts. "Never before has a band gone back in to the studio to re-record their album in another language specifically for a game."

In addition to developing the game's sound, the group will also appear in the virtual world of The Urbz. The bands members, Will I Am, Fergie, Apl de Ap and Taboo, will guide players on how to craft their hip image. As a player's hipness factor increases, so does their social standing. Once a player's social record is impressive enough, they receive access to special VIP locations in the nine areas of The Urbz city. Once all of these VIP areas are unlocked, players are given the keys to a high-rise penthouse.

Look for The Urbz: Sims in the City to hit the stores in November for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance.
