I can relate to everyone else's excitment here but I do have a few key questions about this new game. My first is this, when I bought The Sims 2 for PC I had a lot, and I mean A LOT of trouble installing it on my laptop. Now, my main concern is that my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop will not be able to handle the new game. It is a fairly old laptop, I've had it for about three years now and it seems like no matter what Sims game it is, whether it be the original one, The Sims 2 or any expansion pack I buy, you need a fairly new and updated computer to run it. Will The Sims 3 require a new laptop? Because there is no way I will be running out to the store to buy one of those just for a game, no matter how great it is supposed to be. My second concern is how much space the game will take up on my laptop. My harddrive is pushing the limit with only about 2000 MB left, of course that is from all the Sims 2 games and expansions I have added, and with the coming of the new game those will be deleted. But, with all these new "amazing features" and such, this game will probably take up A LOT of room which could end up slowing down or even crashing my computer.. if it is possible for anyone to get me information about the size of this new game, it would be very much appreciated. Looking foward to the new game. - Nicole

Okay I LOVE the Sims 2 and i just wanna say what i THINK are gonna be the cons and pros to sims3 (but i wont know yet) Pros: More job opportunities, more clothes in the starter, better "make a family"s, better building and houses, more realistic aspects Cons: Unfortunately shinje i doubt there will be murdering (i would buy that expansion pack, Sims3 MURDER awwww, i digress...), I dont know what the rating will be sugaangel but i guess it will be E which is kinda disapointing, there will probably be SEVERAL expansion packs to waste your allowence on only finding they cause more hindrance then fun( like sims2 seasons and freeplay IMO). hopefully ea will prove me wrong about the cons and one thing i can determine yet which has bothered me since sims1, as several other people have commented, WILL THEY LET YOU INTERACT DURING SCHOOL AND WORK? i could see it being a choice on "options" to follow certain sims to school and/or work...i think that would be fun, but knowing EA it will be an expansion pack if it does happen.

if they really want this game to be more popular they need to up the violence a bit. i think sims should be able to kill each other, yeah, i said it.. i know many of u have experimented with sims lives by drowning them, burning, electrocuting, poisoning, etc. and i mean come on, u have to be a teen to play this game, and we all know that teens are playing games like GTA and other violent games like that... i'm not saying it should be all blood and gore, but it would make the gameplay more interesting. I mean who really cares about the d@mn clothes, basic day-to-day tasks, and careers that u don't even get to go to.. really, who cares if they add a teacher, carpenter, or whtever. sims 1, 2 get lame easily because their is no real gameplay. I'm sure ppl would like to put a twist into their sims lives by adding a game of clue or some ****.

when the sims 3 comes out i hope that they have much more job operitunities like in sted of pickin a spacific correar and keep geting promoted like maby when they go to the computer or paper to find a job they pick not like slacker correar but they pick the spacific job like a poliece man and then if they would like to get payed more then they pick a new one.Oh it would be even better if they had to have an interview so that an inecperinced sim cant get a job as like the mayor when they r not ready and univercity should be built in so that when u r chooseing a job u may also have to have a deegree in some areas. and they should graduate from high school.also in sted of spinning around and haveing a baby u should have to go to the hospital before u give birth, and wouldnt it be cool if they could go have an ultra sound and determen the sex of the baby, and i know some people wont agree but i think sims could get an abortion (for the record i perconally am a catholic and am not really for abortion but i know people who have aborted and o make a game mor realistic its is almost nessicary in this day in age) with that said i also think (for the sake of realisim) that they should beable to go to church and have a religon, or evn have a job as a pastor or preast or decon or prechor or even a nun or munk. and u should be able to atleast see what ur sims at school or at work r doing wile they r there if not interact in there lives there . and i dont like the timeing aspect because it took my sim a hour in sim time to take a walk down the stares and i think that teens should be able to whoo hoo and get pregnent but i think it would ne more fun if they had to actually use birth controle so that its not as simple as picking "Whoo hoo" or "try for baby" because in real life its not that simple. and i really dont like it when my kids r like say doing there home work and a parent comes home from work and the kid runs up to hug them cuz then i have to stop them and make them sit back down and do it. i know it sounds like i dont like the sims with all of these complantes but i just like the relistic aspcets of the sims however i know i do enjoy the fact that u can get ubducted and have an alien baby or that u can drink "nector life" and become younger. but dont get me rong i LOVE the sims 2 i have been playing it since it came out and even if non of my suggestions r changed then i dont care i will still continue to buy play it and i promice i will have the sims 3 with in the first week it is out! I LOVE THE SIMS!!!!!!! and will get every new one that comes out!

I think The Sims 3 will be the clostest to real life that The Sims Legacy would ever be. I own all the sims 2 games and I am playing and my mom says "wow your sims look like real people!" It is all 3-D now too! You can walk to peoples houses and you have way more access to everything! I can't wait until The Sims 3 comes out in January!

I am thinking that there are going to be expansion packs. First of all, thats how they get alot of money. Why would they sell everything on one disc for $50 or whatever, when they can sell each expansion pack for $30 EACH. And there will probably eventually be a ton of them! Also, if they think if new ideas along the way, after they release The Sims 3, how else can you get it? Through the expansion packs of course! I just hope they come out with new expansion packs. Like "University" is only for Sims 2. Its not available for Sims 1. So maybe they will think of fun, new stuff for the sims to do in Sims 3. I am sure they will bring back the Sims Pets for the 3rd one. That seems to be one of the more popular expansion packs. I am wondering if we'll be allowed to follow them to work? If we can control their jobs more? More than just giving them skills to get promoted. I also wonder if there will be even more job categories? There are 1000's of real life jobs. I am sure they can think of more for our sims to choose from. I guess we'll all have to wait & see. I believe that they are still working on the game, so maybe they don't even know exactly how far they are going to take it yet! I will be buying it, even if its $100. I am a huge fan & I can't wait!
