Early iPhone 3G adopters were greeted with a version of Spore for their new device. But the experience was all creation and no action so boredom set in fast. With the arrival of The Sims 3 for iPod Touch and iPhone, EA's doing this one right.
Full 3D visuals, customizable Sims, open world gameplay in an ever-changing neighborhood and four mini-games (fishing, gardening, cooking and house repairs) sounds like mobile players will finally get a version of The Sims they can play (and love) when they're not at home. In a release on Tuesday, we learned that the game will also use the iPhone's accelerometer to control some parts of gameplay, they'll be roughly 10 hours of total gameplay and players will be able to create and destroy their relationships with the neighbors.
While details about the game are still early, such as if players will be able to purchase new in-game items, downloadable new maps and, of course, if the money cheat code will work, we're continue to knock on doors to get more answers.
