The GameDaily One-Minute Review

FX's TV series The Shield arrives on the PlayStation 2, packing lots of guns, smut and hilarious dialogue. Gamers play crooked cop Vic Mackey, a tough son of a gun that terrorizes Los Angeles' criminal underworld with his own brand of justice. Although Mackey may arrest countless scumbags, he also steals their belongings and dumps cash into his "retirement fund." Game play involves chasing down bad guys and beating them up, breaking things and searching for evidence. The Shield's graphics look average and it brings nothing new to the action adventure genre, but the foul language and story should entertain people like a trashy novel. While not especially well conceived, people will always crave the next, ridiculous scene.
