Ubisoft today announced that Tom Salta will compose the score to Red Steel. He drew inspiration from classical Japanese music, with traditional instruments like the koto zither, shamisen banjo and taiko drum. The score also features music reflecting the cosmopolitan city that is modern Tokyo, with everything from electronic and rock to hip hop and jazz.
"Tom Salta has found the perfect balance between Japanese traditional music, classic Hollywood score and various modern styles," said Manu Bachet, music supervisor for Red Steel. "He has composed the most exciting soundtrack I've ever worked on at Ubisoft."
Red Steel will release November 19 exclusively for Wii.
