We're goin' fishin'!

Today, Nintendo happily showed off The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii, and while graphically it looks like a slightly enhanced version of the GameCube game, it has a few extra features that are sure to draw in fans.
For instance, gamers can now fish using the Wii controller. We casted off, reeled in, and hooked a couple of fish pretty easily, thanks to the ease of use. There's also some interaction that's involved with the boomerang, including aiming and throwing with great precision. But nothing beats how you handle with the bow and arrow. There's a neat little aiming system put to use here, where you can cap off enemies and hit "hot targets" with ease, like switches and that sort of thing.
The general gameplay also looks to be well suited for the Wii controller as well. We had no problem navigating around and slashing away at enemies, even though the camera wasn't always our friend. The game still looks very solid, and the sound seems to be well backed up also.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will ship later this year.
