The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Sail the high seas and uncover buried treasure in Nintendo's newest Zelda adventure, Phantom Hourglass. A sequel to GameCube's The Wind Waker, this game retains its predecessor's charm with cute cartoon characters and the ability to travel by boat to numerous islands; but instead of traditional d-pad controls, Phantom Hourglass employs a unique design in which you maneuver Link and fight by dragging the stylus across the bottom screen. It works for the most part, and as a whole, Nintendo delivers an excellent adventure, complete with bosses that stretch across both screens and a vast ocean full of surprises. Sure, it's a rehash of every Zelda game, but similar to all those cookie-cutter James Bond films, we quickly devoured it.User Reviews

Why does everyone seem to think Nintendo needs to innovate its games? They way you play Zelda doesn't need to change because it WORKS! Phantom Hourglass is a great example. Same basic story (save the princess lady), same basic gameplay (crawl through dungeons, stab baddies, find keys, etc). But since Nintendo does it so well, it turns out to be one of the better games out there for the DS.

This game is awesome! The touch controls are great. The graphics are good too. .There is even a trading sequence that allows you to get the Hurricane Spin Attack. The boss are very fun. The only problem with the game is that it's too easy. I've beaten the game without using a single potion. The final boss battle was also a bit lame and repetitive
