When you begin questing with David towards Blackdale, you'll have the option of going anywhere you've previously been. As long as you don't fight the boss on the third level of Blackdale, you can revisit anywhere you've already been. This will give you an awesome opportunity to level up your party as much as you'd like before moving on.
