An Australian-based family group rails against the new House of the Dead: Overkill game for Wii, saying they are "distressed" that video game players will "soak up this amount of sexually aggressive violence and aggressively violent language."

Pro Family Perspective director Angela Conway also says, according to a report on GamePolitics, that the gaming industry and society at large should "scale back this level of violence."

Sega defends its position saying the game was designed with a Grindhouse movie vibe (i.e. lots of violence, blood and expletive-filled dialogue, see video above) and that players in the game kills zombies, not humans.

Many adult gamers viewed this reimagining of the classic arcade series as a welcome addition to the Nintendo Wii, which has been lacking games that appeal to more mature and/or seasoned gamers.

We can imagine the shock value, however, for a group that thinks gaming is still just for kids, and they get an earful of the 189 F-bombs that earned this game a Guinness World Record as the "most profane ever." For some absurd reason, that makes us like it even more.
