Get lost, go on an endless series of side-quests, and turn your character into a lich all over again...

The more vigilant and observant Elder Scrolls fans noticed a countdown on the official Elder Scrolls webpage the past few days. The countdown recently reached zero and the long rumored title has been confirmed: The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion is now officially announced.
While details are rather sparse at this time, it was revealed that The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion has been in development since 2002, and probably started right after Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was released on PC. The game should also keep with the series' tradition of having a state-of-the-art 3D graphics engine and a huge world that the player can explore at his discretion. If the picture on the Elder Scrolls website is to be believed, the game is in development for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox Next. More details about The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion will apparently be disclosed in a 12-page cover story in Game Informer magazine later this month.
