Oblivion Publisher Establishes Tokyo Subsidiary (PS3)

Bethesda Softworks' games, such as the upcoming Fallout 3, will be distributed throughout Asia by the new Tokyo-based ZeniMax Asia.

Bethesda Softworks' parent company ZeniMax Media Inc. announced today that it has gained a foothold in the Asian market with the establishment of a new Tokyo-based subsidiary, ZeniMax Asia K.K. ZeniMax Asia will publish Bethesda Softworks branded titles throughout Asian territories. The company said it will work with "strategic Asian distribution partners... to deliver a range of compelling titles in the coming years, including the highly anticipated Fallout 3."

Heading up ZeniMax Asia will be Tetsu Takahashi, who will serve as General Manager, ZeniMax Asia KK. "We are happy to be part of the ZeniMax family," he said. "Extending their direct reach throughout Asia is an exciting, new phase in the Company's expansion and we look forward to building upon their excellent reputation."
