Atari sent word today that The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena will ship for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on April 7 in North America and April 24 in Europe. A demo will also be released on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network in March.

Developed by Starbreeze Studios, the game features a new full-length "Assault on Dark Athena" campaign, a high-definition remake of the "Escape from Butcher Bay" campaign, and multiplayer options including a "Pitch Black" mode. Similar to the first game, Escape from Butcher Bay, Assault on Dark Athena combines stealth, hand-to-hand combat and gunplay. The game once again stars actor Vin Diesel in the lead role.
