This morning, Gamestop sent an email to customers detailing the The Beatles: Rock Band $250 Limited Edition Premium Bundle. The bundle will ship with the game, a Hofner Bass controller (McCartney's signature bass) , Ludwig-branded drums with a "classic pearl finish" and "vintage replica drumhead" (Ringo's signature drums), and a mic with stand, as well as "additional special content."
The Beatles: Rock Band game is set for release on September 9, 2009, and will include songs from the Fab Four's 1963 album Please Please Me to Abbey Road, as well as previous unreleased music, says Dhani Harrison, George Harrison's son, who has been actively involved in game's creation.
We were surprised that a replica guitar was not included in the mix; rumors said the game would include a George Harrison's Gretsch Country Gentlemen guitar controller as well.
As for the game's additional content -- we'd like to get an inflatable Yellow Submarine or a Sergeant Pepper jacket to wear while we strum along to "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."
