Konami of America today announced a cross-promotion with Playmates Toys that will bring secret codes to over 1.2 million Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures. These codes can then be used to unlock special features in the upcoming TMNT videogames. As part of the agreement, the two companies also collaborated on three brand-new foes: The Foot Gunner, The Evil Turtlebot and The Giant Mouser. These new characters, created by Konami's development team, will be exclusive to the videogames and Playmates line of figures. The Foot Gunner is set to join the action figure lineup this December, followed by The Evil Turtlebot and The Giant Mouser in Spring 2004.

"This innovative promotion gives us the opportunity to enrich the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles world and deliver an added value to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games and toys."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, scheduled for an October 21st release on all next-gen consoles, GBA and PC, features over 35 action-packed stages for gamers to fight through using their favorite TMNT characters. The game utilizes cel-shaded graphics and will also incorporate the voices from the full cast of characters from the popular TV show.
