Valve plans to hookup German gamers from January 4-6 by offering them a chance to download and play Team Fortress 2 for free. Of course, they'll have to install a free client from Steam. To ensure that gamers maximize the free time to play, Team Fortress 2 is available for pre-loading so the minute the free weekend begins, player can play to their heart's content until Sunday. Gamers who don't live inside German boarders, you'll have to buy it.

After the weekend, players need to purchase the full game in order to continue.
