Today, Microsoft announced new RPGs on the Xbox 360 at their Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event in Tokyo's Shibuya district. Takashi Sensui, general manager of the Home and Entertainment Division at Microsoft was on hand to make the announcements, including the news that Microsoft is bringing the Western RPGs Mass Effect and Fable 2 to Japan.
Square Enix for its part announced that Infinite Undiscovery will release exclusively on the Xbox 360 in the U.S. on September 2, 2008. The previously announced The Last Remnant will launch late in 2008 on Xbox 360, with a PS3 version to follow. Finally, Star Ocean: The Last Hope will release on Xbox 360 in 2009, with a release on PS3 a possibility as well.
Namco Bandai also announced that Tales of Vesperia will be coming exclusively to the Xbox 360. A "Xbox 360 Tales of Vesperia Premium Pack" bundle will release in Japan, and the game will release in the U.S. in August 2008. Namco Bandai also announced that a free demo of Tales of Vesperia will release in June 2008 over Xbox Live Marketplace.
