Leading video games developer and publisher Namco Hometek Inc. announced today several updates to the official Web site for Tales of Symphonia, the companys latest installment in its popular Tales series of games. Developed by Namco Tales Studio Ltd. in Japan, Tales of Symphonia will ship exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube in July 2004.

In Tales of Symphonia, players take full control of characters through a unique real-time battle system, allowing them to execute and combine hundreds of special attacks and magic spells. With more than a dozen mini-games and side quests, the game offers more than 80 game play hours set across an emotionally charged epic adventure positioned to redefine the role playing genre. In addition, Tales of Symphonia features characters designed by renowned Japanese artist Kosuke Fujishima and delivers beautiful anime-style cel-shaded graphics, making its expansive 3D worlds feel like a 2D comic book.
