GameCube owners take note, the summer drought is finally over - with a role-playing game, no less.

Namco today announced that the anticipated Tales of Symphonia has shipped to stores. The first Tales title on GameCube, Symphonia spans 2 discs and offers over 80 hours of gameplay.
"The wait is finally over -- Tales of Symphonia is here," exclaimed Rod Nakamoto, executive vice president of research and development at Namco Hometek Inc. "Tales of Symphonia clearly establishes a new standard for the role-playing genre of games, and we are certain fans of previous Tales iterations will be delighted with this next journey."
Retailing for $49.99, Tales of Symphonia carries a T for Teen rating.
