The GameDaily One-Minute Review

All the marketing super powers at EA couldn't concoct a game worthy of Superman's stature. How sad. Superman Returns had some potential with EA Tiburon throwing in classic villains from yesteryear instead of just following the lame-duck movie storyline. However, repetitive, unlikable gameplay squashes everything. Flying around with the Man of Steel becomes about as entertaining as putting a helmet on your head and ramming into a brick wall at top speed. The stale ground combat gets old quickly, the incredibly frustrating boss encounters fail to excite, and the graphics look average rather than breathtaking -- even by the Xbox 360's standards. In short, this is a complete and utter letdown that's hurt the Superman legacy quicker than any chunk of Kryptonite ever could. His string of bad video games continues.

johnkilledaclown: 3?

This isn't a good game, but rating it a three is a little crazy. There are some mistakes, and too many things get frustrating for the wrong reasons (like trying to figure out how to stop metallo's stupid missle) but superman was completely nailed, and fyling through metropolis at super sconic speeds is a blast. A three? I don't think so. 5.5. Maybe even a 6.
