It's been one of the most hotly anticipated Wii games for months, and apparently the Japanese absolutely love it. Famitsu publisher Enterbrain has revealed (via Reuters) that Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii has sold 1.08 million units over the course of 11 days since its release on January 31 in Japan.

This makes it the fastest Wii title to hit the one million sold mark. For comparison purposes, it took Wii Fit seven weeks and the ubiquitous Wii Sports 11 weeks to sell one million units in Japan.

North American gamers will finally get to pick up Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it hits store shelves on March 9.
