The animated antics from Super Smash Bros. Brawl represent a playful and fun competition where players never die and weapons never maim. But photographer Greg De Stefano posted a photo shoot takes a darker look at Mario, Wario, Luigi, Link, Princess Peach and other characters.
The costumed actors are part of a video series from Escapist Magazine called There Will Be Brawl, where they play grittier and darker characters that represent a more adult version of Nintendo's characters.
