We break down the best and worst of the Final Smashes in Nintendo's free-for-all superbrawl.

In our continuing coverage of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we thought we'd take a look at the devastating Final Smash attacks. Most of the Final Smashes are different for each character, and some work more effectively than others.
In a sense, the worst attack is the one that opponents see coming. Lucas and Ness have the weakest of the bunch. They call upon the sky and a bunch of glowing meteors rain down for a few seconds. Observant fighters will see these fragments and dodge them with ease. Conversely, King Deedee, performs a ritual dance that summons minions. While it's somewhat easy to get out of their way when they first arrive, it's near impossible to avoid them as they run around the stage.
A couple of characters rely on a dizzying attack to gain an advantage. Peach, for instance, puts her opponents to sleep and devours peaches to regain energy. Luigi also does a bizarre hypnotizing dance, leaving a foe wide open for an attack to knock them off-screen.
Samus Aran's mega-blast is awesome but it comes at a price.Other characters gain a boost in momentum, becoming temporarily invincible as they dash around the screen and hit opponents. Yoshi sprouts wings and pelts opponents with fireballs; Diddy Kong dons a rocket pack and shoots with banana blasters; Wario dons a cape and runs around the screen, punching everyone in sight. Pikachu forms a high-energy ball and floats around like crazy; and R.O.B. rolls around on his robotic legs and zaps enemies with short-range laser bolts. Then there's Sonic, who is the most impressive of this group. He transforms into Super Sonic and runs over everyone.
