Honestly, the advertising and marketing for this game made it seem like it was going to be the best mario game ever. I've never been a mario fan when compared to Zelda, Metroid, StarFox, Sonic, Warcraft, Smash Bros, or well... other well thought out games that can deviate from the traditional PRincess in Peril plot, but I bought it. As it turned out, I was vastly disappointed with this game. For all the hype, it was more disappointing than Halo 3 or Smash Bros. Brawl. The game was too easy, Luigi wasn't in it enough to be of any use, co-op mode is a joke, and it is the same plot as every other mario game showing no originality or thought into the design of this game. I'll admit a space adventure really improved the atmosphere (or lack thereof) but after you have already saved Peach enough times, you just want to leave her for the buzzards and find a girl who will at least be able to fend for herself. Hell, in Smash Bros, she can kick both Bowser's and Mario's ass. So why does she always need rescue? I find these Mario games repetitive and annoying after a while. I'll give it a 7/10. I woulda given more if it wasn't hyped so much prior to release.
