Today, the "Walk of Game" was announced. The "Walk of Game" is going to be a landmark at the Metreon in San Francisco (a large entertainment complex, which housed the Tech TV show "Extended Play" until it got its own studio and changed its title to "X-Play"). The "Walk of Game" will honor the best and the brightest in video gaming and signify the impact they've had on worldwide entertainment.

Between October 1 and October 31, those visiting www.walkofgame.com can cast their votes in the categories of "Game/Character" and "Lifetime Achievement". The top four games/characters and the top two lifetime achievers will be inducted into "Walk of Game" and have a 24"x24", customized, brushed-steel star installed on the floors of Metreon. The results of the nominations are to be announced in November, with the official ceremonies to be scheduled in 2005.
