The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed bridges the gap between Episodes III and IV, but doesn't pull off the "game as cinema" experience LucasArts promised to deliver. The fancy technology powering the experience is impressive, as is the performance by actors who lent their voices and likenesses to the game's pivotal characters. That's mixed with rote game mechanics -- hack, slash, fight big boss, level ends -- that can easily grow tiresome, and a leveling up system that's more distraction than a way to create a customized character. Still, the game's worth killing a few hours with on a Saturday afternoon, and the visceral joy of ripping a TIE Fighter from the sky is high on any Star Wars fan's wishlist.User Reviews

tregeta007: Not Bad
This game isnt as bad as most people say it is, i have two issues with this game: 1. Too short, great story line but you can beat this game in about 3-4 hours. 2. The targeting system is isnt all that great. other than that its an amazing game, there hasnt been a decent star wars games in ages so i give this game two thumbs up.
bleach0304: Game is too short
i was watchin' my husband play the game after being so excited about the new star wars game...he beat it in less then 2 days...that is on nintendo ds, but hopefully on xbox and other platforms everyone else will get their moneys worth. my husband was expecting a lot more and he is a big star wars fan
cmnutsss: AWFUL Ending
My son is 13 and uses his hard earned chore money to purchase his games.... I read the backs of the games for general content and limit his purchases to "T" games.... It's Star Wars and who doesn't love anything Star Wars??? Two things I wish I'd known before I let him spend all that money on this game..... 1. that the game would be over in less than a week of play (couple hours an evening) and 2. that his character would be killed by the Emperor in the end.... He was shocked and so was I as I was sitting on the couch next to him when his character was killed..... In the movies, good always triumphs over evil..... guess I was expecting something similar in the game NOT that the game would end with the character's death.
duval105: This is What Star War's Fans Have been Waiting for.
Star War’s Force Unleashed is what every star wars fan has been waiting for since Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. This game goes above and beyond all expectations in game play, story line, and of course Force use. The Basic premise is your Darth Vader’s secret apprentice and you go across the galaxy hunting down Jedi. It makes the transition between Episode III and Episode IV much smoother. It explains a a couple of specific question that Star Wars fans have been having. Now if you’re worried it’s too dark or not dark enough no worries the creators do an excellent job in creating a story like that keeps you fully entertained. Now it is a little dark but I mean come on the guy is Darth Vader’s apprentice I would have been pissed if it wasn’t at least a little dark. The Game play is unbelievable when I first heard about the game and what you were going to be able to do I was afraid that the controls would be to complex or to difficult and wouldn’t make it fun. They do a perfect job making the controls easy to use and still giving you the ability to destroy everything in your path with the Force. By the time you have fully mastered and upgraded your force power you will feel like blowing the fing rough of your house with the force. I really tired and think of something that I didn’t love about it. The only thing I could think of was that it wasn’t longer. I’m not saying that they didn’t have plenty of challenging levels I’m just saying I didn’t want the kick ass experience to end. I without a doubt give it 10 out of 10 and pray that they make more games like it.
