LucasArts confirms that the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo will Xbox Live and PlayStation Network Thursday, August 21.
The demo will show off an early level in the game, which takes place in a TIE Fighter Construction facility, where Darth Vader's secret apprentice travels to take down a Jedi General named Rahm Kota.
The apprentice is also ordered to leave no witnesses behind, so you can expect plenty of opportunity to try out his new over-the-top Force powers. You'll also get a first-hand look at the game's new euphoria technology in action, as stormtroopers and other enemies grab onto boxes, railings to keep from being flung over platforms by your Force powers. We've played through this level several times already, and can guarantee that it will give you a good idea of what to expect from the full version of the game when it hits in September.
The demo will also purportedly include a tutorial that will teach players how to use the new Force Grip power, and there's also a rumor that the demo will include a special ending that will not be included in the retail version of the game.
